About Us

Cuban American designer and photographer Vicki Sigg created Pixie Girl in 2010 after discovering another form of artistic expression in sewing. She was captivated by the limitless possibilities it had presented. The natural evolution was for her to share this talent through Pixie Girl.

Vicki prides herself in the originality of her designs. She's never used a pattern before and she designs wielding a rotary cutter as though it were a paint brush and the fabric as a palette.

Vicki has three young children, two of them girls, who are the board directors for style approval. (they're 2 and 3 years old) The number one and most important criteria is comfort. The majority of Pixie Girl's styles are made of fabrics that give and allow room for play. Vicki loves making clothes that girls can play and sleep in. You won't be ripping off any scratchy tags from Pixie Girls designs either. Secondly, she has to be drawn to it and want to wear it. Vicki found a way to make her daughters feel like their everyday clothes were like their "dress up" clothes. Fun and beautiful.

Last but not least, Pixie Girl is an Eco-logically run business. Meaning, for us it's only logical that we do whatever we can to minimize our negative impact on this beautiful planet. Not to mention being proactive in it's preservation. From using designer remnants, sustainable fabrics, and recycled hang tags to donating clothes and volunteering in third world country orphanages (most recently Haiti). Vicki went to Haiti three weeks after the January 12th, 2010 earthquake to give and assist in any way she could. It was life changing for her and she has been an active humanitarian ever since.

Another passion Vicki has recently become active with is speaking in schools about bullying. The suicides and shootings that have resulted from bullying are preventable and Vicki wants to be a part of that change.
